Eastside Dolphins Youth Alliance

ABOUT EDYA

For over 30 years the Eastside Dolphins Youth Alliance has been offering boys and girls the change to participate in youth football or cheerleading.  Our goal is to provide the necessary skills and techniques while stressing sportmanship and physical fitness. The Eastside Dolphins participate in Flag and Tackle football through the Greenville County Department of Parks and Recreation.  You do NOT need to live within certain boundaries to play for our organization.  We serve youth in Greenville, Taylors, Greer, Simpsonville, Mauldin, and surrounding areas.  Our practice fields are located at:

East Riverside Park (1155 South Suber Rd Greer, SC 29650)

SPRING FLAG FOOTBALL

Flag Football is in the Spring with registration running from January to mid-February.  Practices begin mid-February and games begin in March. The game schedule is released by Greenville County. Practices are typically scheduled Monday, Tuesday and Thursday until games begin, at which time one of the practices is dropped and Saturday games begin.  Practice start and end time vary by Coach.  A complete practice schedule will be sent as soon as your child is placed on a team. Game jersey and game shorts are included in your registration fee.  Players are responsible for purchasing cleats and a mouthguard.

FALL TACKLE FOOTBALL

Registration for Fall Tackle Football will begin in May and run until the teams are full. OUR TEAMS FILL QUICKLY! We typically offer one 8U team, one 10U team, and one 12U team. Conditioning typically begins the second week of July on a date designated by Greenville County. Summer practices are typically scheduled 2-3 days per week with start times varying by Coach. Once school and games begin, practices will be held 2 days per week plus one game. 8U teams typically play on Saturdays. 10U and 12U teams play during the week. Game schedules are released by Greenville County late in August. Practice jersey, game jersey, game pants, and helmet decals are included in the registration fee. Players are responsible for purchasing a white helmet, shoulder pads, mouthguard, practice pants, cleats and athletic supporter. We strongly suggest you keep mutiple mouthguards with your child's equipment as they are easily lost.

FALL CHEER

Registration typically begins in May. Registration includes uniform (top, skirt and bloomers) and pompoms. Other costs may include bow and white shoes (parent/guardian choice). Practice is usually 2 days per week during the summer and varies once games begin in September. Depending on the number of cheerleaders, they may cheer at 1-2 games per week during the season. We do our best to accommodate sibling/friend requests for same squads or cheering for a sibling's team, but we cannot make a guarantee.
